The Petite Ceinture line is an old 32 kilometers railway line that circled Paris. It was built section by section from 1852 to 1859 for ware conveyance, before beeing opened to passengers. Only the Auteuil line was directly built for passengers and was the last lineÊto close in 1985.
The growing competition of the parisian subway make the Petite Ceinture deserted by passengers and most of the line is closed in 1934. Commodity traffic stopped around 1990.
Most of the line is nowadays abandoned and sold in pieces to private enterprises.
