Mill
In 1921, a group of millers constructs in the Lille suburbs, juste aside the Deûle river, this neo-flamish styled mill by the architect Vuagnaux. In 1928 the society "Les Grands Moulins de Paris" buy the site, wich is the only witness for an industrial mill of that size in the north of Paris.

Thanks to the closeness of both the river and the train station, everything was processed on the spot : silos, cleaning of the wheat grains, mill, flour storage... None of the builings has been restaured except for the silos wich have been added on the extremities of the building in 1960. The whole construction is in concrete with red brick and white concrete ornaments wich clearly reminds the region style.

Industry decline and intern reorganization of the differents factories of the Grands Moulins de Paris group, led to its closing in 1989. Since when, the mill have been bought by a private estate agent and should be transformed in the coming years, in accordance with its belonging to France's Heritage Monuments.
